WIOA or The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federal grant that covers training expenses for individuals who have been laid off or whose household income is at or below the federal poverty level.

Qualified and eligible students may receive up to 100% tuition assistance to pursue WIOA-approved programs.

Auburn University is approved for WIOA funding for eligible Alabama residents.

Initial Eligibility Check:

  • Must be a resident of Alabama
  • Must be unemployed or underemployed
  • Or must be in a low-income household
